Welcome to day 4 of the countdown! Today, I’m sharing two cards using the new YUZU set called Being a Grandparent is the Best with its coordinating dies. These images are absolutely darling! I intended to make one card, but decided to go an easier route and just make two cards with all the images I colored.
I recently attended the Nashville Craft Retreat as a team member. I didn’t have time to craft or really take the classes as I was busy helping attendees and prepping, but I did pick up a few coloring tips that I tried to incorporate. I am really trying to get better at coloring. Side note: The retreat was so fun! I highly recommend following their IG account to stay in touch on next year’s event. I will most likely be teaching a class (eep!).

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
- Stamp several images from YUZU Being a Grandparent Is the Best and color with a variety of copic markers. I added a pic below of my desk while coloring. I couldn’t believe how many colors I need up using.
- After coloring, I die cut each image using their coordinating dies.
- Die cut frames using the Stitched Rectangle Frames Die-namics and the Sand, Surf, & Sky Paper Pad.
- Behind each frame, I added two more patterns for the sky or sea, and the sand.
- Adhere the colored images.
- Matte each frame with more patterned paper.
- On two A2 card bases, stamp some more images in Sno Cone ink on the front. Also stamp a couple images inside the card.
- Stamp a sentiment at the bottom, then adhere the frame to the card front with foam tape for dimension.
- Embellish with clear, sparkling sequins and baker’s twine.
